How this body fat calculator works
This calculator uses the US Navy circumference method, one of the most practical ways to estimate body fat percentage at home. It requires only a measuring tape and uses circumference measurements at the neck, waist (and hip for women) along with height.
The formula
Men:
BF% = 495 / (1.0324 − 0.19077 × log₁₀(waist − neck) + 0.15456 × log₁₀(height)) − 450
Women:
BF% = 495 / (1.29579 − 0.35004 × log₁₀(waist + hip − neck) + 0.22100 × log₁₀(height)) − 450
Body fat categories

For best results, measure in the morning before eating, and take each measurement 2-3 times using the average. Keep the tape horizontal and snug but not compressing.
