The conversion formula

Annual salary = Hourly rate × Hours/week × Weeks/year

Monthly salary = Annual salary ÷ 12

Weekly salary = Hourly rate × Hours/week

Important considerations

• Gross income: These figures are pre-tax. Your take-home pay will be lower.
• Benefits: Salaried jobs often include health insurance and retirement matching that hourly jobs may not.
• Overtime: Hourly workers may earn 1.5× for hours over 40/week (US FLSA).
• Paid time off: Using 52 weeks assumes no unpaid time off. Use 50 for 2 weeks unpaid.
